TSA and Islam, the end of the West . . .

I attended a family reunion this last summer and encountered something that absolutely demonstrates the paradoxical outlook of the federal government with respect to security.

The TSA seeks to expand its presence in all facets of the American transportation system, including intrastate travel, and not just interstate travel. Its personnel are now termed agents or officers . . . not just perverts and bullies and people who willingly violate the 4^th, 5^th and 9^th Amendment rights of their fellow Americans continually wherever they have checkpoints set up. The TSA is now a feature of political events, which has nothing to do with the FAA’s air safety responsibilities.

At SEATAC, going through security to return to Anchorage, I saw something that I still do not comprehend as a viable expression of good policy. I saw a Muslim woman wearing a hijab in a TSA uniform working security motioning people forward. She did not participate in the abuses of our Constitutional rights the federal government calls a security screening. Nonetheless, her presence was another indication that this government will go to any length to avoid any allegations of discrimination . . . or to do its job.

To see this woman in the uniform of the federal TSA was disturbing. Were it not for the hijab, she was no different from any other TSA female employee. However, the hijab said it all.

Islam is a harsh master. Islam is a jealous master. Islam is an intolerant master. Islam does not allow a Muslim to swear fealty to anything not Islam. Where there is Islam, there is war.

The Muslim cannot swear and mean, as in has to lie, when they swear the oath to support and to defend the Constitution of the United States. In other words, for a Muslim to wear the uniform of the United States military, to be federal anything, that person commits perjury. Islam does not allow them to swear any oath to a land that is dar al-harb, a land of war, a land under assault by Islam before submission to Islam.

Islam is not here to co-exist, and Farrakhan and his boys are not Muslims in the vein of Sunni or Shiite. They are, like scientology, made up. In which case, one day Islam will deal with them as they do any who stray from the tenets of Islam.

The TSA continually fails security testing. They have cleared through security federal agents tasked with carrying simulated bombs, firearms, and knives. They have failed to pass any of these tests, yet, we, the flying public must submit and must endure the violation of privacy and person that is the incredibly idiotic TSA screening process.

One has to wonder just how serious is the federal government in its mission of keeping the flying public safe when the shops and flight line of some of our major airports resemble Beirut more so than Minneapolis-St. Paul. There–at Minneapolis-St. Paul, the concessions are run by Muslims, and the flight line is a Somali immigrant success story with virtually no other group or ethnicity represented in any numbers. The flight line. They have access to the baggage compartments, to the cabins, to any exposed interior section of an airliner.

What group tries to blow up airplanes or to use airliners as guided missiles? Muslims do so in such an astronomically greater percentage so as to make any other identifiable non-Muslim threat statistically insignificant.

Yet, during the Cold War, we watched Russians and Soviet Bloc citizens in this country, who were usually here to spy on us. We did not sanction the groping of our populace at large, the seizure of their personal items at random for inane reasons, or the public embarrassing of our elderly and disabled, or the sick probing of our children during what was an undeclared period of hostility with world communism that resulted in the loss of American servicemen and aircraft on a too regular basis without any response from the U.S.

Now, we see Muslims in TSA uniforms, when all that is needed is profiling of those who actually constitute a threat to the U.S. Muslim males and females of military age, who comprise about 5% of the flying public. Instead, the TSA applies draconian actions against the elderly, the infirm, infants, and the disabled, as long as they are anything but Muslim. The Muslims are allowed to go through security without so much as a howdy do.

What is even more paradoxical than the TSA employing Muslims, is the recent revelation of the widespread involvement of the Saudi government in the 9-11 attack on the U.S. An involvement that for any other government would have meant suffering a Declaration of War by Congress.

Now, Muslims are on the flight lines, in the concessions, in the security apparatus, in our military, in the FBI, everywhere in the federal government. Does that make any sense whatsoever?

We are going down the road that Europe has gone by emulating the European decline in birth rate through abortion, politically correctness to the exclusion of any recognition of the internal threat to the country and its people by Islam, the destruction of the family through divorce and the decline in faith in God, and the self-destruction of Europe through conquest by migration of illiterate Muslims in such numbers so as to now constitute a recognized security threat and a threat to the stability continuity of the nation.

Here, our liberal ‘European-me toos’ in Congress, the Obama Administration, and those at the State and local levels are trying their best to destroy this country by emulating and ignoring what has successfully been shown to work in the destruction of Europe. The handwriting is on the proverbial wall, one has to be blind not to see the portent of these insane immigrant and politically correct policies.

Now, the TSA has become a tool in the tool box of Islam to undermine the land of dar al-harb to give Islam a victory in this land of war.

We are our own worst enemies.

We have the opportunity to change this insanity on the part of our leaders in DC and at the state and local level in the elections of 2014 and 2016.

Non-disclosure agreements for Benghazi survivors; COL George Bristol is not retired

The survivors of the attack on the U.S. Mission at Benghazi on September 11, 2012 have been required to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) regarding their knowledge of the events. Aside from withholding the location of these people so that they cannot be served with Congressional subpoenas, the NDAs place the State Department, CIA and private contractor employees in jeopardy of civil and criminal repercussions were any to testify and divulge what they know. Such extreme, and cynical measures to avoid obeying the law and to keep the facts of the attack secret is simply outrageous. However, this conduct has become the hallmark of the Obama Administration.

The conduct on the part of the Obama Administration cannot be interpreted as other than a blatant attempt to conceal, misdirect, and otherwise avoid Congressional oversight. This is a direct reflection upon the integrity of the President of the United States.

 President Barack Hussein Obama promised a transparent and open administration. Thus far, as with Obamacare, the economy, and his foreign policy, he has failed. His conduct with Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the IRS scandal, the seizure of reporters’ phone records just to mention a few of the many scandals uncovered regarding the conduct of this President’s Administration, certainly render him vulnerable to an impeachment move by the House after the 2014 elections.

In another interesting revelation, COL George Bristol who was the former Commander Joint Special Operations Task Force-Trans Sahara during the attack on the Benghazi Mission has not retired after all. The Pentagon had previously reported to Congress that COL Bristol had retired and that they did have any information regarding his whereabouts. "Col. Bristol was not invited by Congress to testify before he retired," stated Air Force Maj. Robert Firman, a DOD SECDEF spokesperson. "The DoD has cooperated fully with Congress and the Accountability Review Board since the beginning of this investigation, and we will continue to do so." COL Bristol’s retirement from the USMC is not effective until 1 August.

The lies of the Obama Administration continue to accumulate.

COL Bristol’s testimony before Congress might clarify the issue of whether or not the U.S. military was ordered to stand down rather than go to the aid of those under attack in Benghazi that night. Further, COL Bristol could certainly clarify what ground assets might have been available to send to Benghazi that night.

COL Bristol’s unit was involved in missions in 12 African countries. Regarding the rising threat in Africa from Islam during the change of command ceremony for his unit, COL Bristol stated " . . . an evil has descended on Africa and it is up to us to stomp it out . . . Africa is not the next ridgeline. It is where the enemy is now. And, we are going to do something about it."

COL Kenneth Sipperly, USAF, succeeded COL Bristol as commander of Joint Special Operations Task Force-Trans Sahara on 13 March, 2013.

COL Bristol has been a sniper and martial artist. He is credited with establishing the USMC martial arts training program. COL Bristol spent 38 years in the USMC with 18 years overseas in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia and Serbia. He accumulated over 60 months of combat tours during this period.

Congress needs to continue its pursuit of the truth in the Benghazi affair, the dead Americans deserve better than the cover up undertaken by the Obama Administration to cover cynical treatment of this travesty.

Part III Obama's Watergates: Benghazi, lies, deception, cover up--but why?

On September 11, 2012, something unprecedented in recent American foreign policy occurred. The United States Mission at Benghazi came under armed assault by jihadists of the Ansar Al-Sharia faction of the Libyan militias without any response on the part of the United States government or our military forces in the region. Not since the seizure of the American Embassy in Tehran on 4 November, 1979 has the United States seemed so powerless to respond to an armed attack against what is considered U.S. territory.

At least 30 jihadis took part in the attack that started after 9 pm local time using AK47s, RPDs, RPGs and 82 mm mortars. The CIA annex about a block away also came under attack by the same group with the ensuing firefight lasting until after sunrise the next day. The jihadi militia personnel were ill-trained, but well armed with a decided superiority in numbers.

Ambassador Christopher J. Stevens was raped and killed by the jihadists. Sean Smith, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management, and CIA Global Response Staff members ex-Seals Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were also killed. Doherty and Woods were killed by a mortar round while defending the CIA complex later that same night. Another 10 State Department employees were wounded or injured in the attack. What followed in the immediate aftermath was a surrealistic rejection of reality and an attempt by the Obama Administration to cover up the event as being a spontaneous protest against an unknown and heretofore unknown You Tube video allegedly insulting the prophet Mohammed.

There was no military or other government response that night to Ambassador Stevens notification made to Gregory Hicks, Deputy Chief of Mission in Libya who was at Tripoli, that the U.S. Mission at Benghazi was under attack by armed jihadis: "Greg, we are under attack." Deputy Chief Hicks then contacted his superiors in Washington, D.C. and informed the State Department duty officer of the attack. Security camera feeds and the retasking of a British operated surveillance drone allowed real time visual transmission of the attack to the State Department, DOD, and the White House.

The attack happened very shortly after the 7:30 pm dinner with the Turkish Consel Ali Sait Akin. Post the notification by Ambassador Stevens to Deputy Chief of Mission Hicks, several requests for aid were made by the CIA personnel under attack at the CIA Annex just down the street from the Mission. The CIA personnel were repeatedly told to stand down by a still unidentified CIA superior and not to attempt rescue of the Mission personnel. Doherty and Woods disobeyed that order and rescued the State Department Mission personnel and the wounded and recovered Sean Smith’s body back to the CIA annex. Doherty and Woods were killed later that night while on the roof of the CIA annex returning fire and acting to spot the mortar emplacement that killed them.

It is alleged recently by some sources that the Turkish Consel was aware of the impending attack and failed to notify Ambassador Stevens demonstrating the Muslim Brotherhood has influence into NATO.

Very recently, Al Qaeda has claimed that the Ambassador Stevens was marked for death in retaliation for a drone strike against Abu Yahya al-Libi, the Libyan Al Qaeda leader in Libya. Al-Libi was killed by a drone strike on 4 June, 2012 in Waziristan, Pakistan. Ayman Al-Zawahiri, Osama Bin Ladin’s successor, called for retaliation against the Americans for the death of al-Libi. The U.S. had placed a $1 million bounty on Al-Libi. An Al Qaeda website posting by Abdallah Dhu-al-Bajadin, a known Al Qaeda weapons expert, conveyed that Ambassador Stevens had been killed by lethal injection. The rape of Ambassador Stevens has never been denied by the State Department or the Obama Administration.

A 12 man security military security team led by COL Andrew Wood provided security for State Department personnel in Tripoli and sent personnel to the Benghazi Mission as required from 12 February to 14 August, 2012. They were withdrawn at the end of their tour and not replaced. The decision to discontinue U.S. armed personnel as security was made by SECSTATE Hillary Clinton. COL Wood testified to Congress that he had 24/7 communications capability with Special Operations Command, Africa (SOCAFRICA) and reported three times daily to SOCAFRICA superiors on his team’s activities in support of the State Department personnel. He further testified: "The security in Benghazi was a struggle and remained a struggle throughout my time there. The situation remained uncertain and reports from some Libyans indicated it was getting worse. Diplomatic security remained weak. In April there was only one US diplomatic security agent stationed there. The RSO struggled to obtain additional personnel there but was never able to attain the numbers he felt comfortable with."

The Ansar al-Sharia militia included individuals who were employed at the time by the State Department as contract security for the facility, giving the jihadis insider knowledge of the layout, personnel numbers, and security systems. COL Andrew Wood had warned the State Department of the likelihood of an attack in the near future when his security detail was relieved at the end of July, 2012. Even in the face of intelligence from several sources, including the interim Libyan government that indicated that further attacks against U.S. and British personnel were likely, the security at the Mission in Benghazi was allowed to become the responsibility of hired Libyan jihadi militia personnel, many of whom were known to be associated with Al Qaeda affiliated Ansar al-Sharia. U.S. security personnel were withdrawn.

The Administration’s Response

The Obama Administration’s response has been without credibility. The first response was by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the day after the attack on the U.S. Mission at Benghazi. SECSTATE Clinton claimed that the attack had been a protest that got out of hand over an unknown You Tube video of a parody on Islam by an unknown film maker in the U.S. For the next two weeks, this claim was repeated by the President and by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice who was pressed into service to give Hillary’s incredible claim credibility. President Obama followed through and continued what became obvious as an outright lie. Even SECDEF Leon Panetta supported the outright lie being promoted by the Administration regarding the Benghazi attack. The CIA, in its initial press release claimed that the attack on the Benghazi Mission was a terrorist attack, but retracted its position to conform to the President’s, Clinton’s and Rice’s outright lies. In the face of four Americans in service to this country being killed, the Obama Administration, as it did in Fast and Furious, chose to lie and to cover up the attack. Since, the Administration has continued its obfuscation, lies and innuendo, choosing to attack those who have come forward to testify and to single them out for retribution for testifying to Congress.

Congressional Hearings have revealed that there were orders given at the highest levels to stand down any attempted U.S. military response to the attack at the time of the attack. The identity of those giving the orders has not been forthcoming. As with Fast and Furious, documents have not been forthcoming, and those that have been provided are so heavily redacted that there are unintelligible. This is the response from the "most transparent" Presidential Administration in history.

What were the military options available for any military response to the attack on the Mission at Benghazi?

How long would it have taken to get assistance there from the nearest U.S. military presence in the region?

Only the President of the United States can order American troops to cross the border from one country to another. Only the President. Given that authority, the order to stand down had to come from either the White House directly, or through SECDEF Leon Panetta.

Deputy Chief of Mission Gregory Hicks has testified that his pleas for assistance for Benghazi were met with silence on the part of the State Department, his plea to AFRICOM was met with an intent to respond, but someone ordered AFRICOM to stand down as well. Only orders from the President of United States can cause U.S. troops to be moved across the border of one country to another. Therefore, the order to stand down any military response had to come from the White House. Hicks testified before Congress that he requested a military response to the attack by a Special Operations team led by LTC Gibson, which was located in Tripoli at the time. Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAFRICA) ordered LTC Gibson to stand down and not to respond to the attack. It is reported that LTC Gibson was "furious" with the stand down order.

No member the United States military, no matter the branch or the MOS, would have refused a mission to go to the aid of those under attack in Benghazi.

Those who have served in any capacity in the military know that when push comes to shove, and the excrement hits the proverbial fan, all become infantry. That means, mechanics, cooks, typists, whatever, they grab a rifle and go to fill the gap in the line. Any Marine at NAS Sigonella would have been more than qualified to answer the attack on the Mission at Benghazi, no matter whether mechanic, cook or clerk typist. All Marines are infantry.

NAS Sigonella has Marine security and infantry elements assigned to AFRICOM. In October, 2011 Marines assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 12 comprising 125 Marines tasked with training militaries in the Sahel, a region of northern Africa, deployed from Camp Lejune, NC to their new barracks at NAS Sigonella. SPMAGTF 12 is comprised of combat ready, infantry qualified Marines who would be deployed in their training role in platoon sized elements. How many of the 125 Marines were available to respond from NAS Sigonella, Sicily on the night of September 11, 2012 is unknown. NAS Sigonella is about 460 miles from Benghazi, or two hours by C130.

Aviano, AFB in central Italy is home to the 31^st Security Squadron equipped with standard infantry weapons and trained in combat tactics. The personnel of the 31^st should have been considered in the response, although, by C130, they would have taken the longest to land at Benghazi airport being over 1,000 miles from Benghazi, taking perhaps 6 hours by C130, including aircraft and personnel prep time.

The U.S. Army Italy has several bases with deployed units. At Vinceza in central Italy there is the 66^th Military Intelligence Group and two Army transportation units between Vinceza and Livorno, not to mention the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America(!) . (Nothing is more frightening than a bunch of Girl Scouts armed who have not made their cookie sale quota and who are armed with M4s.) All kidding aside, there are combat qualified personnel at either of these installations who could have been tapped for an emergency relief mission.

The U.S. had military tactical strike aircraft available. A squadron of F16s are stationed at Aviano, AFB, which could have been on station over the Benghazi Mission within 2 hours of launch. Marine or Navy F18 Hornet fighter/attack aircraft stationed at NAS Sigonella could have been on-station overhead in Benghazi within the hour from time of launch. On afterburners, even less time for both Aviano’s F16s and NAS Sigonella’s F18s.

Given the relatively undisciplined nature of the jihadist militias, two F16s or F18s making low altitude high speed passes may have been sufficient to cause the jihadis to retreat. Deputy Chief of Mission Gregory Hicks testified his belief that the presence of U.S. military aircraft overhead would have been effective in causing the militias to break off their attack.

Therefore, the claim that any response to the jihadi attack had to be made by SOF units that were allegedly unavailable is specious and a red herring designed to detract from the fact that there were several "regular" military assets actually available. The SOF team in Tripoli led by LTC Gibson, the USAF 31^st Security Forces Squadron at Aviano, members of at least two Army transportation and logistics battalions at Livorno and Vinceza, and the SPMAGTF 12 Marines. Any of which could have been cobbled together as a relief force of platoon size (36 troops) with vehicles and moved by C130 to Benghazi before the battle for the Mission and the CIA Annex had petered out.

It has been alleged that LTG Carter Ham, then CO of AFRICOM, was summarily relieved of his command and placed under house arrest for his refusal to follow orders to stand down any attempt at relief of the Benghazi Mission and the CIA personnel under attack. It is known that LTG Ham was relieved of his command shortly thereafter and denied the command of NATO that he was to be his next assignment. LTG Ham retired after his return stateside. His testimony has yet to be heard by Congress.

It is known that the State Department in D.C. was watching the attack unfold from the beginning through security feeds throughout the Mission complex. There was a drone tasked to overwatch within the first hour of the attack. Drones were on station throughout the night. Were the visual feeds extended to the White House Situation Room? Is there any reason to believe that given the nature of the situation that the visual feeds were not extended to the White House?

What was the purpose of the U.S. Mission at Benghazi?

Although not admitted directly by the Administration, it was reported in the NY Times and by Sharyl Attkisson of CBS that the U.S. Mission in Benghazi was engaged in . . . gun running. The U.S. was supplying weapons paid for by Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia to the Sunni militias in Libya and Syria. These weapons were also making their way into western Africa to Mali and further south. It is believed that the dinner meeting between Ambassador Stevens and the Turkish Consel Ali Sait Akin concerned weapons shipments. It is now known that amongst the weapons being provided to the various Sunni, Al Qaeda affliated militias were older model SA-7 Strella and more advanced SA-24 MANPADs, Russian man portable anti-aircraft missiles out of Libyan stores. The missiles were being infiltrated into Syria through the Turkish border.

The CIA personnel at Benghazi were involved in accounting for the Libyan MANPAD stores to prevent them from from falling into the militia’s hands wholesale. The CIA is trying to control the proliferation of MANPADs, and the State Department under SECSTATE Hillary Clinton and her successor John Kerry are proliferating use of the missiles to extreme Al Qaeda jihadist militias throughout northern and western Africa and the conflict in Syria.

Russian General Nikolai Makarov has been stirring the pot by alleging that the Obama Administration has been supplying Stingers to the Syrian Rebels.

In the mean time, the Chicago Tribune dutifully reports that the Obama Administration is not supplying U.S. made Stinger MANPADs to the Syrian rebels, quoting SECDEF Panetta and others of the Obama Administration who were careful not to say that they were supplying Russian made MANPADs from Libyan stores.

Does the right hand know what the left is doing in the Obama Administration?

What did the President know, and when did he know it?

 President Obama has feigned ignorance of what happened at Benghazi. Yet, he was one of the first to mouth the lies of the attack merely being a protest that evolved into something much worse. This President, who had to be fully informed, in this day and age it is simply not credible to believe that he was not immediately informed of and continually updated on the events unfolding at Benghazi, let American personnel . . . die.

There is no other way to put it. He is the Commander-in-Chief. You do not leave your people hanging. Yet, this President did exactly that and made excuses. He expects Americans to believe that he was not informed, that he did not know, that he went to bed early while Americans were under armed attack at a U.S. diplomatic mission in a foreign country. Yet, he makes the personal decision as to whom the drones target for killing and when the killing is to be done.

His position is simply without substance, logic, truth, merit, or basis in fact. He is the President. It is his job to "take charge", no matter the time of day or night.

Is it believable that SECSTATE Hillary Clinton or SECDEF Leon Panetta left the President out of the information loop on Benghazi?

No more so that his good friend Eric Holder left Obama out of the loop regarding Fast and Furious.

Between Fast and Furious, dead U.S. personnel now number 4 for Benghazi. The body count for Fast and Furious is 2 dead U.S. law enforcement personnel as a result of illegal gun running. This does not count the dozens of dead innocents in Mexico who have died from the illegal gun running and the violation of Mexico’s sovereignty with the illegal gun running. For Fast and Furious, the Mexican casualty count is still ongoing. This Administration is covered in blood.

Was SECSTATE Hillary Clinton responsible for Benghazi?

This Administration has pursued a policy of accommodation and non-confrontation with the Islamic states and movements. This Administration has ignored the slavery that is rampant in the ME under Islam. This Administration, like Bush, has ignored the fate of Christians who have become the targets of hate and violence all through the Middle East without one word of objection or concern expressed by the Obama Administration.

This Administration has sought accommodation with our enemies, has provided weapons to Al Qaeda affiliated militias in Libya, Syria and northern and western Africa.

This Administration’s policy of accommodation with the Muslim Brotherhood, Islam and radical Islamic militias actively engaged in fighting U.S. forces or opposed to the U.S. and openly allied with Al Qaeda has resulted in destabilizing every country from Afghanistan West to Nigeria.

Who has been responsible for this policy? President Barack Obama. SECSTATE Hillary Clinton is the Secretary of State who promotes the President’s foreign policy. This is not to state that she is not responsible, this is simply recognizing that President Obama is in charge and ultimately responsible for his policies.

SECSTATE Hillary Clinton in response to questioning by Sen. Ron Johnson, R WI: "Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?"

SECSTATE Clinton has yet to ask the families of those who were killed and injured that night "what difference does it make?"

Clinton could not even provide an accurate count of the personnel evacuated from the Mission at Benghazi in her testimony before Congress. Her answers demonstrated her arrogance and self assurance that she would be protected by the press and by Obama. Clinton holds herself unaccountable, as do the rest of the Obama Administration officials, above the law and unaccountable for their decisions and conduct. It was SECSTATE Hillary Clinton’s decision not to continue the armed security contingent that was commanded by COL Andrew Wood in the face of recommendations by former Libya Ambassador Cretz to the contrary and warnings by him of the potential for attacks against U.S. personnel in Benghazi.

This is the contempt that this Administration has for the rule of law, for its personnel in harm’s way, for our military, for our Constitution, and for us, the American People. This is an Administration that holds itself above the law, an Administration that aids and abets our enemies by giving them weapons and material aid, an Administration that ignores the sovereignty of our neighbors and causes the murder of Mexico’s citizens through its illegal acts.

This Administration is now up to its arm pits in blood. The blood of Americans it abandoned to die, and the blood of Americans and Mexicans who died as a result of illegal gun running into Mexico to the drug cartels with the full knowledge of the DOJ and BATF.

Benghazi: The Obama Admin left them without support . . .

On the 11th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attack upon the United States by Islamic jihadists, the United States Mission in Libya located in Benghazi was attacked by Islamic militants.  Our Ambassador and three other U.S. personnel were killed.  In the aftermath of the attack, the Obama Administration had placed blame on a little known Youtube video.  Since, the Obama Administration has finally admitted that the attack was a coordinated attack by an armed force conducting a military operation against the U.S. Mission and the nearby CIA Annex. 

Fox News is reporting that the CIA team located approximately two blocks away from the American Mission building were in constant contact with their headquarters from the start of the attack on the American Mission in Benghazi.  They requested help from U.S. military sources three times through the CIA chain of command.   It is alleged that their superiors ordered them to stand down three times and not to go to the assistance of the State Dept. mission personnel.  However, this allegation is denied by General David Petraeus, Director of the CIA.

A statement attributed to CIA Director General David Petraeus reported by the Weekly Standard stated:  "No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate."  Who then ordered the CIA personnel at the Annex not to go to the assistance of their fellow Americans under attack at the American Mission two blocks away?

Four CIA personnel disobeyed the orders to stand down and proceeded to the Mission building and rescued several personnel and recovered the body of Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith.  Ex-Navy Seals Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were later killed in a mortar attack on the CIA annex two blocks from the State Dept. mission.

The entire attack was streamed live to the White House, the Pentagon, the State Department and the CIA from security cameras at the U.S. Mission.  There were at least two MQ-1 Predator drones overhead with live video coverage being provided from those sources.  The Predators may have been controlled by British pilots.  The British were given several drone aircraft for reconnaissance during the NATO involvement in indicting Ghadaffi's armed forces operating against the rebels.

The attack upon the Benghazi U.S. Mission and the nearby CIA Annex was conducted by an estimated 120 well armed jihadists.  Within two hours Ansar al-Sharia, the Al Qaeda group operating in Libya, was claiming responsibility for the attack.

The attack upon the U.S. Mission and the CIA Annex raged for 7 hours with reinforcements and tactical air support readily available at NAS Sigonella and elsewhere in the Middle East and Africa.  Elements of the USAF 177th Tactical Air Wing are stationed at Aviano AB in northern Italy, less than 2 hours away from Benghazi on full afterburner for F15s and F16s. 

The Benghazi Mission and CIA Annex were less than 2 hours away from NAS Signonella on Sicily.  NAS Signonella hosts NATO and USAF aircraft such as the AC130U Specter.  The AC130U is a heavily armed variant of the C130 tactical airlift aircraft that is armed with a 105mm cannon, a 40mm cannon and two 20mm gattling guns.  The Specter is used for precision air strikes and direct support of infantry and special forces ground operations.

Woods and Doherty were killed by a mortar strike at the CIA annex.  A battle raged there with CIA personnel calling for air support by a AC130U Specter gunship based at NAS Sigonella on Sicily 480 miles away.  Woods and Doherty were killed when a mortar shell hit their position.  CIA personnel manning a machine gun on the roof top informed their superiors by radio of the exact coordinates of the mortar shelling their position.   They had the mortar and its crew under direct observation the entire time.

Several military options appeared to be available to conduct rescue and security operations for the U.S. Mission and the CIA Annex. including at least three mission specific teams of special forces personnel, including members of Delta Force.  More U.S. Marine infantry resources were available at NAS Sigonella two hours away by C130.

Given the nature of the attacking forces, had American forces shown, the enemy would have departed the area.  The attackers were not military troops, but members of an Al Qaeda militia with poor training and light weapons consisting of AK47s, PPSH 57mm machine guns, RPGs, and at least one mortar.

The U.S. Consulate in Benghazi has been improperly deemed a Consulate.  The facility under attack did not rise to the level of a Consulate and was actually a U.S. Mission.  It has now been disclosed from various sources that Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens mission was to facilitate the delivery of arms to various rebel factions.  Arms that were delivered through the auspices of the Qatar, Saudi Arabian, and Turkish governments.  The attack on the mission occurred just after the departure of a Turkish official who had dinner with Ambassador Stevens.

It has been alleged that Ambassador Stevens was dealing directly with the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Muslim groups to move arms into the hands of the various hard-line Islamist rebel groups operating in Libya.  Stevens was working with the Muslim Brotherhood to convey arms provided by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey to radical Islamist rebel groups.

The CIA mission that Woods and Doherty were part of was charged with finding missing MANPADS, Russian SA-7 Grail man portable anti-aircraft missiles similar to the U.S. military's Stinger.  There are allegedly 20,000 Russian MANPAD missiles missing from Libyan military stockpiles.  The reason for the search is to account for these weapons to prevent them from being used against the U.S. military elsewhere in Africa, the Middle East and Africa.

Meanwhile, in the White House, Pentagon, and State Department, insulated from the death and destruction they were witnessing, Sec-State Hillary Clinton, President Obama, and SecDef Leon Pannetta began the spin that the attack was not what they were witnessing, but an act of 'spontaneous mob violence' over the Youtube video.  Even U.S. Ambassador to the U. N. Susan Rice was promoting this falsehood.  For whatever reason, the Obama Administration chose to lie about the Benghazi attack.  Perhaps to the hide the gun running mission of Ambassador Stevens in the face of "Fast and Furious"?

Who and at what level denied the American personnel under attack U.S. military assistance?  Who ordered the CIA personnel to 'stand down' three times during the fight, effectively acting to deny the Mission personnel under attack assistance until four brave men obeyed their conscience and oath and acted to go to the aid of their fellow Americans?  These men are true heroes.

Where was the U.S. military response during the attack?  SecDef Leon Panetta is now claiming that there was too little information to formulate a plan.  Instead, the Obama Administration let U.S. Sovereign territory, which the Mission was under international law, be violated with impunity by an Al Qaeda affiliated Islamist militia, resulting in the deaths of U.S. personnel without recourse, other than to say that those "responsible will be brought to justice", as if the attack was a convenience store robbery.

The President of the United States, the Secretary of State, and the Secretary of Defense have much to answer for in their failure to act upon Ambassador Stevens multiple requests for increased security, for their failure to act upon the intelligence provided by the Libyan interim government with respect to the potential for an impending attack, for their failure to act during the attack to protect U.S. personnel, and for their outrageous lies in the aftermath.  The lie of the 'spontaneous mob' motivated by a Youtube video was carried forward two weeks post the September 11th attack in Benghazi.
 
Additional security personnel were cheap insurance, why were they denied?

Once again, accountability is being denied by this administration.  Yet, there are four dead whose deaths demand action. 

9/11, reflections, are we safer? No.

On September 11, 2001, the "Pearl Harbor" event of our lives took place. Those who were cognizant of what happened, who saw it, experience it, and those who have sacrificed to preserve our Republic in the years since and those against whom we expressed our national angst all recognize that on that day, the world changed. For awhile, the sleeping giant was again awakened. And, like their WWII German and Japanese counterparts, the militant factions of Islam soon understood the military might of the United States knows no equal.

Unfortunately, we were using our technological superiority and the superior training and equipment of our troops on basically feudal tribal cultures with a low level of technology.

Domestically, as a result of the nature of the infiltration of our commercial aviation by the terrorists, mainly from Saudi Arabia, and all from Arab Islamic countries, a new and unsettling addition was made to our national security. The Patriot Act supported by President George Bush as part of his national security initiative post 9-11 created a concern regarding our constitutional protections from unlawful search and seizure, arrest, and interference with our internal and international travel. President Bush's initiative included the creation of a new Homeland Security Department and the Transportation Security Agency within the FAA. The DHS and TSA were the direct result of the terrorist attacks that brought down the World Trade Center towers in NYC on September 11, 2001. Since 9-11, both have grown dramatically, in both scope of their missions and the size of the bureaucracy.

The TSA has been under steady criticism from the flying public for its outrageous violation of traveling Americans' 4th, 9th, and 14th Amendment rights. Property is seized without recompense and due process. The citizen is grotesquely violated in a manner that in any other context would result in the arrest of the TSA agent for sexual molestation at the very least, and rape at worst. Worse, the TSA has implemented technologies for the search of a person using microwave radiation that has been heavily criticized by physicists and physicians associations nationwide. There is a serious question as to the long term effect of the low level radiation upon the skin. Worse for the TSA is a practice of ignoring the only segment of the flying population whose religion is at the root of the 9-11 attacks. Political correctness prevents the TSA from focusing upon the estimated 5% of the flying public that is Muslim. It is not uncommon to see Muslim men and women in full ethnic garb being passed through with a cursory search, while older Americans, including the disabled and very young are subjected to the most invasive and embarrassing affronts to their personal dignity in violation of their constitutional rights. The record of the TSA with respect to stopping terrorists is highly questionable, as they have failed test after test involving smuggled weapons and chemicals simulating explosives.

What is it that the TSA really does other than condition the American public to allow the suspension of their civil rights without proper notification of arrest and the intent to search? The TSA is a direct threat to our liberties that is far more serious and insidious than the Patriot Acts' secret tribunals for issuing warrants to conduct surveillance upon Americans. The TSA has now expanded its jurisdiction into non-aviation venues of travel, including highway and large attendance events held in local jurisdictions. So much for the freedom of unrestricted travel.

As was stated so sagely by Benjamin Franklin during the debates on the drafting of the Constitution: "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty."

The Department of Homeland Security became a huge vacuum that swept up all of the federal law enforcement, including Customs and the Border Patrol. The outcome has been a massive bureaucracy that has confused, impeded, and demonstrated that an agency with powers not enumerated in the Constitution may have been excluded for a reason. There is no Constitutional basis for the federal DHS.

On the state level, the 50 states have followed suit and created a state namesake for their state version of DHS. These state agencies became largely conduits for funneling billions of dollars of federal tax dollars to local communities to allegedly improve their public safety agencies' communications, provide for updated equipment, and to provide for community training for emergencies through the Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) concept, and for providing increased fire and rescue equipment. Unfortunately, in too many cases, the money went for monuments to . . . politicians in the form of statues, parks and buildings having nothing to do with improving disaster response.

In Alaska, the Division of Emergency Services became the Division of Alaska Homeland Security and Emergency Services. The additional alphabet soup did not increase the effectiveness or efficiency of the idea of making Alaskans safer. It did however, become a conduit for disbursing federal DHS grants to local communities. And, that it has done since it was renamed. The yearly grant amounts supplied by the federal DHS to be distributed by the State have been as high as $18,000,000 to this year's $9,500,000. For 2012-2017, the yearly State grant amount is set at $9,500,000.

For the $10s of millions received yearly by Alaska local governments through the DHS grant program, there are still municipal police and fire agencies with radios that cannot communicate with the Alaska State Troopers or neighboring communities. By contrast, the Juneau Fire Department was a focus of one New York Times article in 2006 that investigated the use of the DHS grants. As the fireman in Juneau stated, they had bought so much new equipment, that they had no idea how they were going to use it, as training and manpower to use it were now the issues. Too much of a good thing is still too much.

Interestingly enough, given the emphasis on WMD threats, the potential for nuclear first strikes by Iran, China, North Korea and Russia, the Alaska Dept. of Military and Veterans Affairs have yet to decentralize the command and control from Camp Denali on Ft. Richardson (JBER). There are only so many real military targets of significance in Alaska, those being the four major military bases and the Trans Alaska Pipeline and Terminus at Valdez. Therefore, why has the State left its military command and control in the "target zone"?

Another issue that is of concern to Alaskans is the state of our communications data infrastructure, both public and private, in face of a potential Electromagnetic Pulse attack (EMP). There was allegedly a report done in around 2007-2008, but what steps have been taken to harden the telecommunications infrastructure of Alaska's towns and cities?

In the face of the federal DHS grant largess, the Alaska State Defense Force, a proven disaster response asset was literally rendered ineffective and deemed ineligible for receipt of DHS grants by Governor Sarah Palin, then Adjutant General LTG Craig Campbell, and now Governor Sean Parnell and his Adjutant General MG Thomas Katkus. Their vision for disaster response in Alaska is based upon a reliance upon a totally federal disaster response capability and availability. This reliance is flawed based upon Alaska's disaster response experience during the War on Terror.

In 2006, with the federal commitment of the Alaska Army National Guard and the federal troops to the War on Terror, three times the ASDF was called to State Active Duty because there were no available National Guard troops to use for disaster response. Today, MG Katkus believes that Outside National Guard assets will replace any need for the Alaska State Defense Force.

Another troubling aspect of the DHS grant program has been the militarizing of local and
State police agencies. In the 1950s, the FBI began a program to standardize the organization, rank, investigative procedures, including forms and policies of the local police agencies. This program started with the training of officers and management of the local police agencies in these standards and procedures. The purpose in this was to provide a commonality in command and control for the federalization of local assets in the event of a national emergency. Now, DHS and the federal Department of Justice have taken this first step to a new level.

DOJ has provided local law enforcement with federal law enforcement grants over the years. This program was accelerated during the initial phases of the War on Terror, and somewhat overlapped by DHS.

DHS grants have provided funding to localities to use for law enforcement equipment, communications, and personnel training in concert with DOJ grants. Local and State police agencies are became eligible for priority receipt of military equipment directly from DOD.

The reason our police are looking and acting more like the military is that they are being trained in small unit operations and tactics by military instructors, equipped with similar uniforms and equipment, and instilled with an attitude that was not present in local law enforcement. That attitude is the "break it" mentality of the infantry: surrender or die. We now see NYPD officers armed with H&K MP5 submachine guns and M16A4s. Except for the color of the uniform, one would be hard put to discern the civil police tactical operations officer from any heavily armed military infantry soldier.

Unfortunately, the federal grants have failed to create the Tower of Babel that would give the federal, state and local agencies the ability to communicate with each other. The incompatibility of data base structures compounds the problem of getting information disseminated between agencies.

What are the changes for the common citizen during the course of the War on Terror arising from the attacks of 9-11?

We have seen our soldiers go to war, again, and again, and again. We have grieved with their families for their sacrifices. We have stood in awe at the commitment of duty that those sacrifices require.

We have seen our civil rights diminished and our population suborned to search and seizure in violation of their rights under the Constitution.

Is the State of Alaska more secure as a result of the DHS grants? No. Bad policy and poor leadership cannot be remedied by money. That policy and leadership, however, is not the bane of just Alaska, it is the bane of every State and most of all, reflected in our national leadership. A leadership that apologizes to the enemy, that kow tows to foreign despots and apologizes for our country!

A national leadership that excuses a religion that condones the murder of innocents, the mutilation of women, the treatment of women as property, that maintains slavery in this day and age, that kills apostates and homosexuals without due process, destroys any other religion, and seeks to impose Shari'a upon the entire world: ISLAM.

May we not forget 9-11, may it be a reminder always to future generations that ignoring a threat because of political correctness is irresponsible. People died because our government did not heed the warnings extending all the way back to the 1970s of the threat of radical Islam.

It is time we noted the lesson imparted us by the War on Terror and the experiences of our troops. We need to understand that the threat is now in amongst us. We need to understand that the War on Terror will be ongoing so long as our political leaders fail to understand the threat.

After 11 years of war, our southern borders still stand open, with swaths of our national lands off limits to citizens so that drug runners and jihadis can have free and unfettered access to America from Mexico. A nation with open borders will not remain a sovereign nation for long. That lesson of history is still being ignored so that a few can take advantage of the many seeking work, not citizenship, but just work.

This 9-11, resolve to vote the apologists out of office.

The President's relgion and the Mosque at 911

Barack Obama is a Muslim. He practiced the religion in Indonesia, and, according to the tenets of Islam, once a Muslim, always a Muslim. Otherwise, he is apostate and subject to death. . . .

Yeah, the religion of tolerance is tolerant only to . . . whom and what?

Islam means submission. Period. You submit to Islam. You do not practice Islam, you submit to Islam . . . or, you die. You have a choice, convert or die. Of course, the followers of the "book", meaning the Hebrew Pentateuch or Old Testament,may pay a tax and live a life as a second class citizen. However, that does not necessarily remove one from the cross hairs or the neck from the sword.

Animists, humanists, pagans, Buddhists, Hindus and atheists are simply dead under Islam. I mean as in killed. There is not quarter for them. Convert, or die. Most will die.

Homosexuals will be subject to flogging or death. The Koran calls for public beatings, but in most Muslim countries hanging or beating to death seems to be the norm.

Why homosexuals seem to think that they would fair better under Islam is beyond me. I do not know of any Christian pastors who have called for physical harm to homosexuals, apostates or . . . liberals.

Liberals will be offered the choice and most will convert. They are cowards who will just "want to get along". In doing so, they will rejoice that Islam will allow them to act out their angst against conservative folk. Islam serves those with a grudge and allows them to act out that angst with impunity, as long as they do so in the name of Allah.

Those who practice rape will love Islam. Ask any Christian woman in any country where Islam is the dominant religion. Take your pick of tolerant Islamic countries. In Egypt, Coptic women are raped to show them how wrong they are in their beliefs. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, wherever Islam is practiced, there is this abuse of women. Rape is also a tool to reign in the female Muslim who fails to wear proper dress.

Honor killings are also allowed. Have a grudge against your aunt or your sister? Accuse her of improper behavior, and she is toast. Even in this country, this horrific conduct has happened.

We have let into our midst this backwards, intolerant, ignorant religion and its third world practitioners. Those who practice honor killings of their daughters and wives, those who kill others simply because they are not of the same faith or kill them because they are of another sect of Islam, and under Islam, the use of rape as a tool to keep women in line. WE LET THIS IN?!!!!!

Now, those who subscribe to this abhorrent religion want to add insult to injury and build a mosque upon sacred ground. They want to erect a monument to their cowardly act of murder. They killed 3,000 Americans in name of Allah. And, our President backs this project.

Why not? He is one of "them".

Once a Muslim, always a Muslim. He may have sat in a Christian Church, but Barack Hussein Obama was never a Christian. The penalty for apostasy under Islam is death. He knows this. He literally the Manchurian Candidate. A shill, an impostor, one who wants to harm this country. How can he be otherwise, given his record and the record of his acts as President? Bowing before foreign despots?

My ancestors fought a revolution, one commanded the Continental Army and served as the 1st President. It is time we consider the need to refresh the Tree of Liberty. First with words and votes. Barring any success there, to do as George Washington admonished us to have the courage to do. The real reason we have the Second Amendment.

If the election of 2012 does not end the term of the Muslim Obama, then our Republic will truly be in peril.

The March On Washington

God bless those who took place on the march on D.C. Saturday.
Maybe, the point was taken, maybe not.
People are tired of the unbridled growth of government at every level, not just at the federal level.
This was a demonstration of American constraint.
Unlike a demonstration for homosexual "rights"--ne we want to be another protected class so that we can get even with those who offend us--there was no nudity, or affronts to sensibility, morality, Christianity or the American family.
Unlike lib demonstrations, there was no screaming epitaphs against the opposition, no hate speech, and no physical confrontations.
I am hoping that these people will remember why they went to Washington, D.C. and that those of us who could not remember why those who went did so, and vote accordingly.
Vote the bums out, all of them.
It is time, Congress was refreshed with new minds who understand that the Constitution is the law, not an inconvenient set of rules made to be broken.
Same for the Whitehouse in 2012.

Alaska's Natural Gas and Oil can benefit the U.S., or not.

Former Gov. Walter Hickel wrote an editorial in another paper that tried to demonstrate that there was a basis for an all-Alaska pipeline from Prudhoe to Valdez. His premise was that Red China, and I mean RED China must be acknowledged as a potential player in any future natural gas market for Alaska natural gas. His editorial was also critical of the Palin Administration backing of the only AGIA applicant, Trans-Canada, a Canadian company that has proposed a 4.5 billion cubic feet per day natural gas pipeline from Prudhoe through Canada to the U.S. market.

He quoted Sen. Charlie Huggins as holding to the philosophy of positive engagement through world trade rather than exclusion as the route to economic prosperity and peace.

Red China, or the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), Japan and the rest of Asia are heavily dependent upon imported fuels and natural gas. These economies are in competition with Europe for the world’s oil and natural gas.

The principle suppliers of oil and natural gas being the Middle East, Russia, and Indonesia.

Brazil may become an oil exporting nation, provided the recent discoveries off the coast can be developed.

I agree with the need in Asia for Alaska NG, which is just part of the justification for an all-Alaska NG pipeline to Valdez. The fact that NG is exported from Nikkiski is a demonstration of the viability of the Asian market. A market that Alaska could certainly develop. However, I agree only if the U.S. continues to be stupid and refuse Alaska gas and oil development to ease dependence upon foreign oil and natural gas.

Alaska, as a sovereign State in the Union of States should have the opportunity to develop its resources to benefit Alaska, if the U.S. fails to understand that the primary desire of Alaskans is for our oil and natural gas to be used to benefit the U.S. first, and foreign markets second.

It has always been a paradox as to why natural gas was being exported to Japan from Cook Inlet reserves by LNG tanker, but Alaska could not develop its North Slope reserves to ship to U.S. markets by LNG tanker?

Were all of Alaska’s NG produced exported to foreign markets, Alaska could reasonably export by LNG tanker up to 4.5bcf per day, or the expected import of foreign NG into the U.S. market.

Alaska’s NG would most certainly affect the U. S. market by displacing largely imported Middle Eastern NG, and, because of competition, result in a lower price to the U.S. consumer of natural gas. A situation unremarked by the Producers in any discussion of marketing Alaska’s natural gas.

It is this displacement of foreign natural gas being imported at exorbitant prices into the U.S. market that is the dream of every Alaskan. Not just the benefits to the State: jobs, infrastructure, income, and, if a portion of the liquids are retained, industry from those liquids.

The energy policy of the U.S. can be viewed as insane on one level, and shrewd on another. If we suck the Middle East dry of oil and gas, then, we eventually eliminate the benefit of the income provided to those oligarchies who then contribute to the jihadis that want nothing more than to kill us infidels. On the other hand, we are paying high prices for oil and gas that is funding our enemies. That is the insane part, especially in the face of ANWR, off shore, and U.S. and Canadian oil and gas potential. Alaska could supply the 4.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day that will be imported from Qattar, Indonesia, and Saudia Arabia by the end of 2012. Alaska’s natural gas reserves would completely displace Middle Eastern supplies.

Let the PRC buy those Middle East supplies and also take in the thousand of young wahabbist Saudis that now come into the U.S. under the deal brokered by G.H. Bush along with the $50 million spent each year by the Sauds to build new mosques in the U.S.

Somehow, we (the U.S.) are expected to absorb this burgeoning 5th column of Islam and continue on without any affect upon our economy or society. I would think the pictures of police carrying fully automatic M16s and HK MP5 variants in full body armor would clue someone that this policy is costing us. Especially since most of the hijackers who commandeered the jets on 9-11 were Saudis. This shortsightedness has cost the U.S. billions and will continue to cost us billions to keep the threat of now home grown jihadis in check. Yet, we still import oil and gas from the Middle East to fuel this hate.

The U.S. has more coal than anywhere in the world. Under the North Slope of Alaska is a high grade, low sulfer bituminous coal. It is my understanding that this field extends across most of the North Slope. Add that to the U.S. reserves, and there is no raw material shortage for fuel or gas.

The U.S. military is pioneering the development of new coal to diesel and kerosene jet fuels for aircraft. This is an extremely promising development in my mind and a significant policy shift. The question is, will the Obama Administration allow these projects to go forward?

Off shore reserves of oil and gas are just now being realized. New technologies in drilling and production are making deep sea recovery possible. The large reserves off of Brazil are an indication that oil exploration is far from over on the continental shelves around the world. Off of Israel new gas reserves verify this, even in the Mediterranean.

Unfortunately, Obama is now considering one again denying off shore development.

Yes, Alaska can send its hydrocarbon resources elsewhere, if necessary. Or, Alaska can contribute to the reduction of the impact of foreign oil and natural gas to the detriment of our security, economy, and culture. Alaska’s hydrocarbon resources can fuel Red China, a burgeoning enemy, or the U.S.
